As the daughter of a USAF colonel and diplomat, Debbie Reed Fischer is grateful to have had an international childhood of adventures while living in England, Greece and the U.S. Before the age of thirteen, she had trekked through Egypt on a camel, toured Delphi’s mystical oracle sites, hugged the pillars of Stonehenge, and much more. She is the award-winning author of novels for teens, praised by Kirkus Reviews as “a sharp wit.” During the Age of the Supermodel in the 80s and 90s, Debbie worked as a model booker and film agent at one of the world’s most prestigious agencies, side hustling as a script doctor for motion pictures and TV. Her experiences inspired her debut YA novel, published by Penguin Random House. A graduate of the University of Miami, Debbie is a speaker and writing instructor, regularly presenting at universities, literary conferences, and schools. She also has been employed as a high school teacher and as a background singer for recording artists. In addition to her novels, Debbie has contributed to non-fiction books, magazines, newspapers, scripts, as well as best-selling anthologies, one of which spent twenty-nine weeks on the USA Today Bestseller List. Debbie loves getting reader mail and promises to write back! Visit her at www.debbiereedfischer.com.
