Defending everything they know could cost them everything they have.

The rebels at the Seam have been defeated thanks to the alleged treachery of one of their own.

It won’t be long before a manhunt ensues for Jazz’s entire crew, and given what they know about Gaia’s secret project, they won’t be prosecuted…

They’ll just disappear.

With Liddick still missing and the port-cloud stronger than ever, they haven’t come this far to give in now.

But when Jazz announces she’s going after Liddick herself, she draws a line in the sand she may not be able to erase. And while Arco has no choice but to let her go, how does he lead everyone forward with the past holding him back?

Outcast.
Hunted.
Lost.

Success will demand a sacrifice.

They wanted a chance; they were given a choice: follow the scripted path at Gaia Sur, or face the unknown to find their families. In Aqua and Terra, Jazz and her friends took the risk, then battled the seven biomes of the “Rush.” Now, from high above the earth in Admin City, it’s clear their fight has only just begun.

Told from two perspectives, the third book in The Elements series sends part of the crew to a topside world that isn’t the way they left it and the rest into the virtuo-cine network, where truth is blurred, and time is running out.

Under Pressure, Under Fire…Some Will Rise, and Some Will Fall.

Getting out of Gaia Sur was almost as hard as getting in, but there’s no going back now. Jazwyn Ripley and her friends have no choice but to venture into the caves and tunnels underneath the ocean floor as the messages they’ve been receiving get stronger. Tensions rise and loyalties are tested when another of their crew is captured, and one critical choice means following unlikely allies down a path most would never dare—across the seven biomes of “The Rush”—which, if they survive, will either lead to freedom or imprison them forever.

The future is five miles underwater. And Jazwyn Ripley’s time has come.

Only the best get into Gaia Sur, the elite academy on the ocean floor. But something is wrong in the interviews. Jazz’s evaluation is too easy compared with those of her soul-rattled classmates, and now, Arco Hart is desperate to protect her from something he won’t talk about.

Cryptic messages coming from the earth’s core. A charming but infamous rival who knows why.

There’s every reason to walk away, but it takes 12 years to earn a chance to escape the polluted topside world. At the bottom, there really is nowhere to go but down.

The road to everything the cadets ever wanted now leads somewhere they never intended to go, and at the bottom of the sea, one decision will change the course of their lives for good…

Continue on the scripted path, or chase something deeper?
